Client’s Needs

Gift Market’s extensive range of products, including “Tshirts and Jackets,” “Custom USBs,” “Drinkware,” and more, required a web banner design that could effectively categorize and highlight each product category.

Unique Requirements

The project faced several hurdles including managing diverse product sizes and colors to avoid clutter, and sourcing props from various suppliers. Additionally, photographing larger items like umbrellas required a creative solution as they were too large for the studio.

Our Approach

Creative Direction:

  • Planning & Concept Development: We gathered product images from the client and developed a moodboard for approval. Props were sourced and tested to align with the creative vision.

 

  • Collaboration: Close collaboration with Gift Market ensured that the creative direction met their branding goals. The shoot schedule was carefully planned to accommodate the diverse range of products and props.
  • Overview: The shoot took place over two full days, focusing on creating 15 impactful images. We managed challenges such as the rooftop shoot for large items and ensured each shot was perfect by adapting to on-the-fly conditions.

 

  • Behind-the-Scenes: The rooftop shoot for umbrellas presented a unique challenge with wind interference, requiring precise timing and adjustments to achieve the desired results.

  • Editing: Each image underwent detailed editing, averaging 1.5 hours per photo to achieve the high-resolution quality needed for web and print.

 

  • Delivery: All 15 images were delivered in high resolution, suitable for web banners and future print use. The client was pleased with the results and no revisions were requested.

Solution

Unexpected Obstacles

Our team tackled the challenge by creating a moodboard based on the client’s preferences and sourcing props from Taobao, Carousel, and IKEA. To address the issue with large items, we utilized the rooftop for shooting the umbrellas, overcoming the difficulties posed by wind and space constraints.

We employed detailed planning and test shoots to ensure every element, from styling to lighting, met the client’s expectations. Each photo was meticulously crafted to ensure clarity and visual impact.
