In short: GradePixel produced the food photography for Nestlé Harvest Gourmet's plant-based recipe book — a global spread of dishes from bibimbap and satay to sliders, bao and lasagne, all made with plant-based mince. This is recipe photography Singapore a food brand needs for a cookbook: consistent, appetite-driven styling across every dish, shot and laid out for the printed page.

The brief

Make plant-based
impossible to resist.

Plant-based mince can do anything meat can — but only if the photography convinces you. Nestlé Harvest Gourmet needed a recipe book that showed the range's versatility across cuisines: Korean, Chinese, Middle-Eastern, Western, Southeast Asian — every dish looking rich, juicy and crave-worthy.

The task was a full, consistent set of recipe photography in Singapore — appetising hero shots for every dish, styled and lit to one standard, and shot with the layout of the printed cookbook in mind.

Our approach

Style it to crave,
shoot it to print.

Plant-based food is a styling challenge — it has to read as juicy and satisfying, never worthy or dry. We styled each dish for maximum appetite appeal, with the sauces, steam, char and garnish that make you hungry, holding one consistent look across the whole range.

And because these were built for a book, every frame was composed with the page in mind — clean negative space for recipe text, consistent surfaces and props, so the dishes sit beautifully in the layout.

The dishes

One range,
every cuisine.

The finished book

From plate
to page.

The best proof of a recipe shoot is how it reads in the book. Each dish was shot to drop straight into the layout — hero photo, recipe, chef's tips — for a cookbook that looks as good as the food tastes.

What recipe photography in Singapore
needs to get right.

If you're producing a recipe book or a content library, this is what makes the difference between images that sell the dish and images that fall flat.

01

Appetite over accuracy

Food styling is what makes a dish crave-worthy — the sauce, the steam, the char. Especially for plant-based, it has to look juicy and satisfying.

02

Consistency across the book

Dozens of dishes shot to one look, light and surface, so the whole book reads as one considered collection — not a patchwork.

03

Composed for the page

Recipes need room. We shoot with negative space for text and titles, so images drop straight into the layout without a fight.

04

Planned like a production

A recipe book is many dishes in a tight window. A shot order and kitchen timing keep every plate looking freshly cooked.

Common questions

Recipe photography in Singapore
— your questions.

It depends on the number of dishes, the amount of styling and whether you need consistent surfaces and props across a whole book. A full recipe book like this Nestlé Harvest Gourmet project is scoped by dish count and shoot days. Share your recipe list and we'll quote accurately; message us or see our food photography Singapore service page.

Yes — styling is half of recipe photography. Plating, garnishing, sauces, steam and choosing the exact moment to shoot are what make a dish look crave-worthy, and it's especially important for plant-based food.

Yes. We compose with the page in mind — clean negative space for recipe text and titles, consistent surfaces and framing — so the images drop straight into the cookbook design.

Absolutely — consistency across many dishes is exactly what a recipe book needs. See our Katong Catering and Häagen-Dazs food case studies, and more in our food portfolio.
