The pill box
that became
a fashion
accessory.
A limited-edition launch with an unlimited ambition.
Panadol was launching something unexpected: a blind box campaign featuring plushie pouches designed to look exactly like their iconic Cold+Flu and Panadol Extra packaging. Collectible, functional, unmistakably Panadol.
The brief was clear โ create campaign-quality lifestyle visuals that showed these products living in the real world. The constraint was equally clear: no prop budget, no location shoots, no weeks of pre-production.
Cold+Flu (blue) and Panadol Extra (red) both needed their own distinct lifestyle treatment โ different moods, different scenes, same efficient production timeline.
Traditional prop sourcing and lifestyle set styling for 6 hero images would have added weeks and significant cost to the timeline. That wasn't an option.
The images needed to work across social, digital, and campaign placements โ clean enough to be versatile, lifestyle enough to tell a story.
Shoot once. Build the world in post.
GradePixel proposed a hybrid workflow: shoot the products clean against white in-studio, then use AI to composite them into fully-realised lifestyle scenes. No props to source, no location to book, no background to dress.
The result: multiple distinct lifestyle environments from a single, efficient studio session โ each one tailored to how the product actually lives in someone's day.
Two variants. Six scenes.
One cohesive campaign.

From white wall to world-built.
Every lifestyle image started life as a clean studio shot. GradePixel's AI workflow placed the product into a fully realised scene โ without a single prop on set.
shoot. A full day's work โ done in post.
A typical lifestyle shoot takes a full day: props to source, sets to dress, scenes to reset. With GradePixel's AI workflow, the studio session took 30 minutes. The rest โ six fully-realised lifestyle scenes โ was built in post. Same result. A fraction of the time and cost.
Built around the brand.
The campaign's two-palette structure mirrors Panadol's own product line โ cobalt blue for Cold+Flu, saturated red for Extra. Each lifestyle scene was colour-graded to match.
Honestly, we didn't expect this level of output from a 30-minute shoot. The images were campaign-ready and we could use them straight away.
